As mentioned in the last latest news item, globally, low back pain is now a major concern effecting just over a billion people at any one time. It therefore comes as no surprise that the most common complaints we see at Creative Chiropractic are low back in nature. One such gentleman who presented to Robert, our Senior Associate Chiropractor, with back pain, was desperate to get his problem sorted before he flew off to participate in a paragliding competition.
Fred Askew, from West Runton, took the opportunity to compete in South Africa and based on our current UK weather, it looks like he made the right decision! Fred said, “I was competing at the ‘2012 Winelands Paragliding Competition’, taking place at Porterville, Western Cape, South Africa where it was my first time competing. It was a fantastic feeling joining the start ‘gaggle’, with nearly 70 paragliders in it for the first time.. Flying at 2500 meters above the valley with eagles all around was something to remember. I would like to say ‘thanks’ to Robert for his help in getting me ready”.
They say you learn something every day and in this case finding out that a group of paragliders is known as a ‘gaggle’! Fred was kind enough to send us some photographs of his experience and in this one you can see the ‘gaggle’ of paragliders forming.
Well done to Fred and a fantastic achievement from all of us at Creative Chiropractic.
