What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a primary healthcare profession that specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and management of the nervous system and hence the overall health of the patient. It does not simply focus on the symptoms of the pain but reviews the body as a whole in order to identify the root cause of the problem. An improvement in mobility and a relief in pain through manipulation encourages the body’s own natural ability to heal itself.
When a joint is twisted or ‘jammed’ and not moving correctly it can cause mild or even severe pain with associated muscle spasms. It may create irritation to the extremely sensitive nerves leaving the spine, causing intense discomfort to other areas of the body eg leg pain due to sciatica.
As well as Chiropractic, a range of highly skilled in-house Practitioners are available including a Muscular Rehabilitation Specialist, a Physiotherapist, a Reflexologist and a Massage Therapist. Legislation
Chiropractors working in the UK must train for four years full-time as well as completing one supervised year after graduation before becoming a fully registered practitioner. Chiropractors at Creative Chiropractic are registered by law under the Chiropractors Act 1994 and with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). The title ‘Chiropractor’ is protected under this legislation.
